The 1990 Léoville Barton opens up with seductive aromas of dark cherries and cassis which are followed by tobacco, tar, coffee and underlying minerals. This demonstrates remarkable balance with a gorgeous silky texture that gently caresses your palate. The finish is clean and pretty, with dried cherries leaving an impression. This is showing well now, but if you have any in your cellar it’s about time to drink up. (Best through 2018) - February, 2014 (JD)
