Largest of the Doisy estates, this Cru Classé Barsac property has been owned by the Castéja family since 1946. Doisy-Védrines's 27 hectares of vineyards are planted with 80% Sémillon, 15% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle. Intense, layered and flamboyant, this wine opens with aromas of butterscotch, creme brulee, orange blossoms, honey, passion fruit and apricot jam. There are idense flavors of Crème Brûlée, pineapple, passion fruit and candied peach. The 2007 is drinking exceptionally well today and is just an incredible showing from this storied estate.
