Coming from and outstanding vintage in Sauternes, the 2009 is an opulent and simply seductive wine. As this begins to open is releases an absolutely incredible bouquet of tropical fruits, honeysuckle, gardenia, honey, nutmeg and bananas foster. Racy and intense on the mid-palate, there are rich, beautifully concentrated flavors of butterscotch, honeydew melon, crème Brûlée, apricot jelly and nutmeg spice. While this is nothing short of stunning right now, it is ultimately an age worthy wine, which will continue to become even more compelling as it evolves over time.
