Despite obviously coming from a challenging vintgage, this gorgeous 1999 Sauternes from Château Suduiraut has held up marvelously. An intense golden hue strikes the glass as you take in gorgeous perfumes aromas of honey, marzipan, candied sweet almond and ginger essence. The flavors of butterscotch, bananas foster, roasted pineapple and crème brûlée enchant the senses. While this may ultimately be near the end of its peak, it is still drinking beautifully at this juncture. (Best 2017-2020) - February, 2017 (OB)
