The 2017 Phélan-Ségur delivers aromas and flavors of cherries, blackberries and plum along with tobacco, cedar, herbs, earth and minerals that all come together beautifully. On the palate this is medium-bodied and well structured with fine-grained tannins and a velvety texture. It goes in to impress with its notable balance and lingering finish with wonderful focus and poise. This is a sensational wine from this vintage and a remarkable value as well. This should continue to shine for well over a decade.
