The 2011 Château Segur de Cabanac is a lovely showing in this vintage. This blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot delivers ripe blackberries and dark cherries woven together with roasted coffee, minerals, dried herbs and tobacco. It's nicely structured wiith round tannins which turn chewy and linger on the finish. Overall, this is a well-made wine that should evolve nicely over the next few years.
