Château de Janicon is a wonderful showing in 2012, it is composed of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot from 30 year old vines, which are planted to Garonne Gravel on a clay-flint subsoil. The wine offers aromas of cherry and raspberry, followed by tobacco and crushed stones. Medium to full-bodied with excellent structure and a long mineral driven finish. This is certainly a nice surprise from winemaker André Vincent in a difficult vintage. (Best 2014-2020) - June, 2014 (JD)
