The 2014 Château Malescot St. Exupery is a profound blend of predominately Cabernet Sauvignon along with Merlot and a dash of Petit Verdot which offer aromas of dark currants along with black and blue fruits, combined with spices, tobacco, violets and hints of graphite. On the palate this is full-bodied with a supple texture and wonderful overall balance, concentration and depth. The finish is long and polished leaving black fruits, spices and sweet tobacco notes lingeirng on and on. Overall, this is a remarkable effort and should provide years of enjoyment, and while certinaly already quite inviting it would be best to allow this some short-term cellaring before approaching.
