The Vieux Château du Terme is a lovely showing in this vintage. This blend, consisting of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, delivers aromas of blackberries and ripe cherries, which are woven together with spices, tobacco and toast, along with hints of mint and crushed stones. On the palate this possesses a medium body, and displays a nice balance of ripe fruit and acidity, which lends to a wonderful fresh character. The finish shows notable length, with cherries and tobacco notes lingering. Allow this another year or so to continue to take shape in bottle. (Best 2017-2025) - August, 2016 (JD)
