The 2016 Cotes Du Rhone Villages is delightfully smoky on the nose, adding in aromatics of ripe red fruits and dusty terroir. Medium-bodied, there is a nice level of ripeness and sense of balance. Red currant jelly with creosote, red cherry candy and blood orange flavors all come together nicely leading up to the finish. This is a wonderful value and will be best consumed in the short-term.
