The 2017 Côtes du Rhône Villages ‘Le Chéne Noir’ is a lovely showing which begins with raspberries, blueberries, spices, floral and herbs which all develop in the glass. This possesses a medium-plus to full body, with a gorgeous soft, round texture that leads up to the spiced-tinged finish, where ripe dark fruits, spices and violets leave a lasting impression.
