The 2010 Domaine la Soumade Côtes du Rhône Les Violettes brings aromas of forest floor, damp earth, spices, pepper and lavender wrapped in dark plums. Well-structured with nice feel, but lacking the balance needed to take this to the next level. That being said, this is an overall solid wine which will allow room for improvement with some short-term cellaring. (Best 2014-2017) - April, 2013 (JD)
