This small-production Pauillac comes from a half-hectare parcel nestled between plots owned by some of the most prominent Châteaux in the AOC. Composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon with about a third Merlot, this begins with aromas of cherries, plums, spices, cedar and wet stony minerals. On the palate this is medium-bodied and well balanced with coarse tannins and a lovely mineral laced core. This is a wonderful wine to approach early on, but should become more appealing if allowed another year or two of bottle age to soften.
