CHÂTEAU PICHON BARON Pauillac 2013

2016 TOP 100 WINES | Rank #20

The 2013 Château Pichon-Baron is one of the most compelling wines from the vintage. A beautifully concentrated wine which opens with seductive aromas of blackberries and cassis, along with floral, graphite and spices, all coming together in the glass. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous texture with remarkable overall balance and depth, leading into the long, expansive finish. While this is already extremely impressive, this will without a doubt age beautifully over the course of the next decade and even beyond. (Best 2018-2030) - September, 2016 (JD)
