LAURENT TRIBUT Chablis Premier Cru 'Côte de Léchet' 2015

For years, Laurent Tribut ́s wines were actually made in his Father-in-Law’s (René Dauvissat) cellars, in are made the same style as his legendary Chablis. Recently, however, Laurent moved his cellar to the town of Poinchy, just outside the town of Chablis, however the winemaking style and quality has remained the same. Laurent currently owes a small 1.2 acres of ‘Côte de Léchet’ and it is a simply brilliant showing in this vintage, as this Chablis shows lovely elegance combined with a wonderful complex profile. This instantly opens to inviting aromatics of lemon zest, ripe orchard fruits with a touch of white peach, followed by a spicy character and incredible saline minerality This demonstrates remarkable precision, depth and balance, underlined with a beautiful touch of mouth watering acidity, all driven by its saline infused core. Tribut’s wines are a classic representation of Chablis and typically require some short-term cellaring before they begin to show their full potential, however the 2015 is already quite expressive and surprisingly open at this youthful stage.
