Dense and concentrated with a primal edge offering loads of black fruits, roasted plums, raw beef, pepper, spices, charcoal, mineral, damp earth and even develops a fresh lavender note. Full-bodied, round and polished with lots of Northern Rhone character and a long mineral driven finish. This gem can be approached now with long exposure to air, but it will really be in its prime in about 6-8 years. 100% Syrah made from 50+ year-old vines, sourced from 15 different parcels throughout Cornas, including 'Combe' with 100 year old vines and 'Sauman', with nearly pure granite soils.
