The 2017 'Jardon du Calvaire' shows impressive range on the nose, offering nuances of mulberry, cinnamon, cloves as well as wild mushroom and orchard fruits that all combine nicely in the glass. The palate has wonderful verve and sense of minerality. The freshness entices as bright flavors of citrus rind, lemon curd, nutmeg are laced with shades of wild mushroom. While delightful in its youth, this beautiful Côte de Beaune should also evolve nicely over the course of the next few years.
