The 2014 Bourgogne Chardonnay from Domaine Gaston & Pierre Ravaut is a gorgeous showing. This clean, perscise Chardonnay delivers fresh and inviting aromas of lemon and sliced pear woven together with hints of wet stones and white floral blossoms. This has a beautiful elegant texture and remains balanced and focused through the pretty finish. Although this was aged in oak barrels for 12 months, there is absolutely no indication of any oak presence in the wine, as the minimalist style to this Chardonnay allows the fruit and terroir to shine through.
