Domaine Weinbach has incredible history in Alsace, and this wine comes from one of their Grand Cru Vineyards, the Marl soiled Furstentem Vineyard, which is their most north facing property, adjacent to the Altenbourg Vineyard. The 2013 Domaine Weinbach 'Furstentum Grand Cru' Gewurtztraminer is an exceptional wine which opens with intoxicating aromatics of star jasmine, grilled pineapple, mango, and necarine, as this wine shows an exotic bouquet. There are deep flavors of honey, beeswax, vanilla, and bananas foster with an exceptionally smooth mouthfeel. This Gewurtztraminer has an exceedingly long finish and a strong mineral streak that impresses. This will certinaly age gracefully and looks to have an extreamly bright future ahead.
