The 2014 Château Les Guyonnets ‘Cuvee Heritage’ opens with inviting aromas of ripe blackberry and cherries which are woven together with tobacco and toast. This medium to full-bodied red is nicely polished with a lovely touch of acidity at it core keeping it fresh. There there is a slight bitterness on the backend before it heads into the finish, where dark fruits and tobacco notes continue to linger. Overall, this is offers some appealing characteristics, but allow this another year or two of bottle age. (Best 2018-2024) - January, 2017 (JD)
