The 2009 Chateau Cote Montpezat Cuvee Compostelle is very fresh and refined with notes of cherry, mineral, tar, floral and some hints of earthy tobacco leaf showing up. This coats your palate with a silky structure and lots of traction on the finish. Composed of 70 % merlot, 20 % cabernet franc and 10 % cabernet sauvignon rounding out the blend. This is very young right now and needs some more time. (Drink 2013-2020) - January, 2012 (JD)
