The 2014 Château Chemin Royal opens to inviting aromatics of blackberries and cherries followed by pain grille, minerals and tobacco nuances, which burst from the glass. The mineral-driven palate is medium-bodied, well balanced and structured with fine tannins, leading into the finish which is marked by flavors of cherries and spices. Overall, this is a lovey showing and a wonderful example of the depth of quality which can be found from the vintage. (Best 2017-2022) - June, 2017 (JD)
