2012 TOP 50 WINES - Rank #14
The 2010 Domaine de Beaurenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Boisrenard comes from parcels of old vines 60-100 years in age. It is absolutely seductive, with ripe dark cherries, cassis, tar, charcoal, scorched earth, leather and fresh floral. This has a gorgeous rich velvety texture with excellent feel on the palate. What really brings this wine to the next level is the impeccable powerful, structure and depth that it brings, not to mention the long sleek finish that even picks up hints of rich chocolate and spice. Just a stunning wine that will deliver drinking pleasure for many years to come. (Best 2014-2030) - September, 2012 (JD)
