DOMAINE DU PÉGAÜ Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Cuvée Réservée' 2001

The 2001 'Cuvée Réservée' is silky and refined, bursting with aromas of dried plum and sweet cherries, layered with meat, lavender and smoke. On the palate it is so round and velvety, with beautiful integrated tannins and a gorgeous finish that finesses all the way through. Today, this is drinking superb and there still looks like it will continue to show well for possibly another decade. (Best 2014-2021) - July, 2014 (JD)
