The 2014 Le Clos du Caillou, Les Safres is a wonderful blend of 40% Roussanne, 30% Grenache blanc, 30% Clairette. It offers a very expressive nose of Asian pear, dried apricot, lovely spring flowers, followed by hints of lemon candy with a touch of honey. It has firm structure with an vibrant core and lively finish. This could benefit from a year in the bottle and enjoyed over the next decade. (Best 2016-2025) - October, 2015 (MD)
