The 2014 Château des Fines Roches is made in a traditional style and comes from vines averaging 40-years in age. As this opens it delivers bright aromas of strawberries and raspberries woven together with spices, licorice and hints of wild herbs. On the palate this this medium-bodied red offers an elegant, silky texture with red fruits carrying over onto the finish. Today this is still quite youthful and will require some additional time in bottle to flesh out. (Best 2018-2025) - December, 2016 (JD)
