The 2014 'Les Hesperides' instantly opens with notes of roasted plums and dark cherries woven together with sweet mesquite notes, spices and leather all melding together in the glass. On the palate this is built on a full-bodied frame with velvety, polished tannins. Leaning more towards the modern side, 'Les Hesperides' continues to demonstrate nice focus with lovely layers of ripe dark fruits expanding onto the finish. While already appealing, I expect this to show even better as it softens with some additional bottle age. (Best 2019-2029) - January, 2017 (JD)
