The Domaine du Pere du Pape Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Vignobles Mayard is a fantastic showing in this vintage. Composed of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault this opens to inviting aromas of raspberries and cherries woven together with white pepper, spices, citrus peel, mineral and earthy nuances all taking shape. Medium to full-bodied this possesses a lovely round velvety texture and excellent depth leading up to the long spicy finish.
