The 2016 'Clos du Roi' Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is a blend of primarily Clairette and Grenache blanc, with a small portion of Roussanne. It instantly opens with vivid aromas of orange blossom, white peach, tangerine, white flowers, flint, and some hints of vanilla. It has a beautiful waxy texture, balanced by a flash of bright acidity which leads into the long delicious finish. Drinking wonderfully today, but also has great aging potential.
