The 2015 'Cuvée Barberini' opens to simply gorgeous aromas of dark cherries, black raspberries and dark plums which are woven together with spices, florals, bittersweet chocolate shavings and hints of savory nuances all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied and beautifully concentrated with remarkable overall depth and balance. Layers of ripe dark fruits continue to resonate throughout and leave a lasting impression on the long, polished finish. This is a total beauty now and should only continue to impress as it evolves over the next decade and beyond.
