The 2015 Bosquet des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Tradition' is a gorgeous wine, made from a blend of 75% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre. It displays wonderful elegance and refinement as it begins with an inviting bouquet of raspberries and red plums which are woven together with spices, dried floral, white pepper, licorice and hints of wild herbs all taking shape. On the palate this is medium-bodied and beautifully structured around fine, silky tannins. Shows wonderful concentration and restraint through the long, graceful finish. This will require at least some short-term cellaring before it hits its stride, however all signs point to a bright future for this excellent wine.
