The 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc from Domaine Janasse is predominately Grenache Blanc with some Clairette and Roussanne included to round out the final blend. It displays a beautiful golden color, with accents of fresh spring flowers, asian pear, honeysuckle, white peach and traces of fresh minerals. On the palate this shows wonderful precision, with flavors of apple, honey and candied ginger, which is all backed with a smooth texture that continues through the finish. This is a fantastic blanc to drink now or watch evolve over the next decade plus.
