The 2007 'Belle Epoque' by Perrier-Jouët is a dazzling effort in this vintage. The wine utilizes Chardonnay (50%) from the grands crus of Cramant and Avize, Pinot Noir (45%) from Montagne de Reims and Pinot Meunier (5%) from Dizy. This wine was aged for more than six years prior to disgorgement. This stunner of a Champagne is currently showcasing brioche, white flowers and gala apple on the nose, followed by flavors of marzipan, Gravenstein apple, nutmeg and cantaloupe. This has tremendous length and weight, yet beautifully maintains freshness and elegance. (Best 2017-2027) - May, 2017 (OB)
