The 2009 Giacomo Conterno Barbera d'Alba Cascina Francia is absolutly gorgeous with pretty notes of mixed black and red berries, fresh minerals, floral and sweet herbs. The fruit is dense, focused, fresh and mouth-watering. The finish is pure, silky and long. A fascinating Barbera that should drink well for a decade. (Drink 2012-2022) - April, 2012 (JD)
