The 2009 Montosoli is a fantastic Brunello and one of the best I have tasted from the vintage. It delivers exotic aromas of wild berries, plum, juniper, orange zest, dried floral and hints of leather. This possesses wonderful balance and finesse along with gorgeous silky tannins with a fantastic inner-sweetness. The finish is long, silky and caressing, leaving behind notes of berries and spices. This is a Montosoli that is approachable upon release, however it also has the ability to show well for a decade or maybe even longer. (Best 2015-2024) - April, 2014 (JD)
