The 2010 Riserva is an absolutely captivating Brunello, and may be the most compelling wine I have tasted from Andrea Cortonesi. This Brunello is already extremely expressive as it opens with complex aromas of ripe blackberries and black plums woven together with black winter truffle, exotic spices and fresh cut floral to name a few of the nuances. It continues to impress with striking overall structure, balance and depth heading into the beautifully polished finish. Although this is already showing so much personality, it is still a wine which can be cellared for many years to come. (Best 2018-2034) - March, 2016 (JD)
