The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino from Tenuta Vitanza deliver aromas of red cherries, blackberries, vanilla, spices with hints of licorice, which all come together in the glass. Medium to full-bodied and beautifully structured with velvety, yet firm tannins, which grip tightly on the finish as it leaves behind dark cherries and spices lingering. A lovely showing from Vitanza, which should continue to evolve nicely over the next few years. (Best 2017-2025) - March, 2017 (JD)
