The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino from Castelli Martinozzi opens to aromas of cherries, wild strawberries, juniper, citrus peel and hints of crushed stones. Elegant and refined, this medium-bodied Brunello is well balanced with lovely sweet red fruits at its core that lead the way to a lingering finish. If approaching today, extended air contact is essential, however this will ultimately be best after a few years of bottle age. (Best 2019-2029) - March, 2017 (JD)
