The 2013 Pieve Santa Resitiuta Brunello di Montalcino begins with intoxicating aromatics of dark cherries and black berries woven together with spices, sandalwood, tobacco, herbs and hints scorched earth. On the palate this is medium-plus bodied and well structured with remarkable depth through the long finish. Overall, a slightly modern, yet well made wine, which is already fantastic and also shows promise for a long evolution ahead.
