The La Costa di Monforte begins with pretty aromatics of rose petals, orange zest, minerals wrapped in wild berries and red cherries. Showing nice overall balance, this wine yields bright flavors of strawberry, red cherry and some menthol nuances that sit alongside some mild to moderate dusty tannins. The 2017 Barolo will drink beautifuly now with a long decant but the wine also shows gorgeous aging potential as well.
