Luca Marenco's Barolo is a beauty in 2015. Classy and refined, this slowly unwinds in the glass releasing aromas of strawberries, black cherries, fresh cut florals, licorice, spices tar, white truffles, and wet stones which all take shape. On the palate this is tightly wound, with bright acidity and remarkable overall structure with a core of bright red fruits that continue to leave an impression all the way through the ultra-long finish. There is no question about the quality of the 2015, this is showing well with some air contact but will continue to develop over the next 10-15 years.
