The 2007 Fontanafredda Barolo Serralunga d'Alba is classy. It's with aromas and flavors of ripe cherries, strawberry, tar, floral, mineral and a slight touch of vanilla. This is medium-bodied and very well put together with firm tannins holding everything in place. Give this some air time and you can get away with drinking this now, but it will also easily last a decade in the cellar for those who don't mind waiting. (Drink 2012-2024) (JD)
