The 2009 'Falletto' is a classy Barolo which is impressive for its purity and sheer elegance. This spent 30 months in French oak barrels, followed by an additional 8 months in bottle prior to release. It opens to gorgeous aromas of freshly sliced red berries, strawberries, beautiful floral, herbs and spices leap from the glass. On the palate this is silky and refined with a solid structure ending in a gorgeous ultra-long finish. Overall, this is a stunning effort that will age beautifully for well over a decade, that being said, it will require at least a few more years of bottle age before it begins to hit its stride.
