The 2005 'Bricco Ambrogio' is an excellent showing in this vintage, delivering aromas and flavors of ripe strawberries, cherries and sweet plum followed by spices and a touch of licorice. This is beautifully balanced and the tannins are beginning to soften nicely, lending to the gorgeous round texture before it heads into the long lasting finish. This still has a little more room to evolve, but it is certainly shaping up nicely. (Best 2015-2023) - January, 2015 (JD)
