This Barolo comes from the nearly unknown cru of ‘Bricco Ambrogio’ where the Nebbiolo is grown with the traditional Guyot system. This stunning effort from Negretti instantly bursts open with lovely fresh aromas of ripe cherries, dried floral, sweet spices, vanilla, mint and licorice. It continues to impress with its lovely round, polished texture as well as wonderful balance and finesse from start to finish. Overall, this is a superb showing from a fantastic vintage that should continue to show well for at least another decade, but it’s so good now why wait. 15.0% AbV. (Best 2015-2025) - March, 2015 (JD)
