The 2011 Sarmassa displays a wonderful elegant and refined character. As this slowly begins to open, it releases wonderful aromas of ripe strawberries and red berries before adding on additional notes of exotic spices, licorice, mint and rose petal, which all come together beautifully. On the palate this is firmly structured and shows excellent overall balance. This continues to impress all the way through the finish with its elegant personality. Today, the 2011 only begins to show hints of its true potential after extended air contact and will ultimately require additional years of bottle age before it hits full-stride.
