The 2011 ‘Lecinquevigne’ is a blend of Nebbiolo from five vineyards which are grown in the calcareous-clay soils of Barolo, Verduno, Grinzane Cavour, La Morra and Novello containing vines ranging 30 to 50 years in age. As this opens up it offers pretty aromas of red fruits, licorice, tar, dried herbs and touch of dried floral. It possesses a silky texture, backed by fine tannins which grip hold nicely on the finish. (Best 2016-2026) - August, 2015 (JD)
