The 2012 Barolo is another outstanding showing from Marco Marengo in this vintage. This expressive Barolo instantly open with alluring aromas of ripe red berries and freshly sliced strawberries followed by spices, floral and underlying hints of aged leather and wet stones. On the palate it possesses a wonderful refined character and is beautifully structured with silky tannins. It continues to impress with excellent focus all the way through the long, pretty finish.
