The 2012 Cannubi is a gorgeous wine in this vintage, which is impressive for its wonderful elegant, refined character and lovely purity throughout. At the moment, this is the most restraint of the bottlings from Chiara Boschis, but does however reveal simply striking aromatics of fresh strawberries and red berries which are laced with rose petals, eucalyptus and a mineral character. On the palate this is medium-bodied, silky and beautifully structured, before finishing up with an exceedingly long, tight gripping finish. While this will require some serious bottle age before it will become fully accessible, it certainly looks to have an extremely promising future ahead for those willing to wait.
