The 2013 'Rocche dell’Annunziata' Barolo begins with aromas of strawberries and cherries, followed by floral stems, licorice, leather, spices and eucalyptus, all taking shape beautifully in the glass. On the palate this shows notable depth and structure, with a lovely silky texture, which ends with a lingering finish. While appealing now, it should certainly continue to become even more expressive with some short-term cellaring. (Best 2019-2030) - July, 2017 (JD)
